Article Title: Bifurcation analysis of bistable and oscillatory dynamics in biological networks using the root‐locus method

doi: 10.1049/iet-syb.2019.0043

Figure Lengend Snippet: For genetic toggle switch model, MATLAB graph of root‐loci for α1 parameter; two poles are always complex conjugates with negative real parts, one branch starts from origin and ends at a pure imaginary zero, the last two branches start from complex conjugates poles with positive real parts and one of them ends at pure imaginary zero and the other goes to +∞

Article Snippet: A user friendly bifurcation analysis tool with a MATLAB GUI may be developed based on the applied root‐locus‐based bifurcation analysis, which can be combined with the already available bifurcation analysis tools such as MATCONT indicating certain types of bifurcation points and bifurcation curves and also with the available bifurcation analysis methods identifying the existence and non‐existence of periodic, quasi‐periodic, and even chaotic behaviours for a considered parameter region [ 17 – 21 ].

Techniques:

For genetic toggle switch model, MATLAB graph of root‐loci for α22 parameter; two branches start at pure imaginary poles and lie on the left half plane always which yield two complex conjugate poles with negative real parts, two branches start from pure imaginary poles and one of them ends at origin and the other one goes to complex zero at infinity, the last branch starts from a positive real pole and tends to a complex zero at infinity after leaving the break‐away point
